Walpole British Luxury unveils ‘Excellence’ award nominees

Walpole British Luxury, the not-for-profit organisation which represents over 175 British luxury brands, is delighted to announce the nominations for the eagerly awaited 2013 Walpole Awards for Excellence.

Now in its 12th year, the Walpole Awards for Excellence, in association with Coutts, honour individuals and companies for their work in the luxury sector, both in Britain and around the world, celebrates their outstanding achievements in the fields of design, craftsmanship, business and culture. Past award winners include Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Mulberry, Erdem, Net-a-Porter, Claridges, Chanel, Ferrari and Land Rover, to name just a few.

The winners of the 10 awards will be announced at the Walpole Awards of Excellence on Monday 18th November 2013 at the Banqueting House, Whitehall.

The ceremony will be presented by Ben Fogle, an acclaimed English adventurer, writer and broadcaster and attended by 500 luxury industry guests. This year’s judges for the Walpole Awards include Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council; Michael Ward, MD of Harrods; Jonathan Akeroyd, MD of Alexander McQueen; Jonathan Heilbron, CEO & President of Thomas Pink; Nick Candy, Founder of Candy & Candy; Hilary Alexander; Earl of March & Kinrara, Goodwood; Joan Burstein CBE, Browns Fashion; Theo Fennell, Founder of luxury jeweller Theo Fennell, amongst many others.
