Milla's style SOS

Milla Jovovich quipped H&M needed "911 on standby" at the VIP preview of their collaboration with Isabel Marant last night.

Milla Jovovich joked emergency services should be "on standby" as Isabel Marant's H&M collection hit New York.

The model attended the Isabel Marant for H&M VIP preview event held at the store's Fifth Avenue flagship in the US city on Tuesday evening. Eager customers snapped up must-have items, with even the shop's mannequins being stripped bare. Milla, who appeared in the campaign shots, was taken aback by the fashion frenzy.

"H&M should have 911 on standby," she laughed to WWD.

Milla embraced the excitable atmosphere, grabbing a couple of coats and a few sweaters before handing them over to her two assistants to take care of.

"I'm stealing this," she quipped to fellow shoppers as she held up one of the pieces from the line.

Milla wished her husband Paul W. S. Anderson had accompanied her to the event. The model joked that the Resident Evil director would have found the experience very motivating.

"When I saw everyone lining up outside, I said, 'My husband should come shoot this for the next Resident Evil movie, because this really is like a zombie attack!' 'Uuuuuh! Must. Buy. Isabel. Marant. Me. Want. Isabel. Marant.' It's gonna be crazy out here, like a football game," she laughed to Elle.

Hundreds of Isabel Marant fans braved the cold New York weather on Tuesday night as they queued outside the Fifth Avenue store before doors opened. Among the most desired items were chunky pattern sweaters, fringed leather boots and printed dresses.

The collection includes clothing, bags, shoes and accessories, with influences of rock and cowboy styles evident.

Fashion fans around the world can get their hands on the collection when it hits stores today.
