Agyness Deyn turns designer
Agyness Deyn is set to launch her own line, currently dubbed Title A.
Agyness Deyn is launching her own collection.
The 30-year-old model has appeared in campaigns for labels such as Burberry, Vivienne Westwood and Giorgio Armani in the past. She has also collaborated on pieces with footwear giant Dr. Martens over the past four seasons.
However, Agyness is now taking control and starting up a range which is currently dubbed Title A.
WWD reports her line will be "contemporary" and will focus mainly on tailored suiting and clean-cut basics. Prices will vary, with a cropped T-shirt said to cost $100 and a wool topcoat to be sold for $625.
Agyness' pieces will be available. With four collections a year already planned it is hoped the wholesale business will grow with time.
In the meantime Agyness is rumoured to have joined a new model agency. The Lions company was co-founded in 2012 by 24-year-old model Madisyn Ritland and Marianne Tamposi, both of Florida's Prodigy Model Management.
They announced last week that Agyness - along with other models including Karen Elson and Cameron Russell - left their home Elite Model Management to join the rival company.
It isn't just fashion Agyness is known for. She has also moved into acting, having roles in movies such as Clash of the Titans and Pusher.
She previously explained the moment in which she realised she needed a change of scenery.
"I had been modelling for 12 years, and that's a good chunk of time, and I just got to a point... I think it was the stage where I shaved my hair off. I used to shave my hair off when I was younger - I used to do it a lot, just for a change, different colours, mad, really bad haircuts," she said. "So I needed a change. I guess I could have been like, 'It's just a job,' and gone to work - but I can't do that I don't think. The thought of doing it and thinking, 'Only half an hour left.'"
